Innisfail Town Council set the tone for the Town’s long-term vision Monday night, approving the draft 2018-2021 Town of Innisfail Strategic Plan for circulation.
A period of public consultation will now take place, during which council will seek the community’s feedback on the plan. The plan will come back to council for approval in early March.
The plan was created as a result of planning sessions attended by council and administration in late-December. It outlines the Town’s strategic priorities for the next four years — and the strategies that will be used to achieve them.
“The 2018-2021 Town of Innisfail Strategic Plan has been carefully thought out, and aligns with both the feedback we heard on the election campaign trail and the priorities determined by council and administration during the two-day planning session,” said Mayor Jim Romane. “We’re excited to now get the community’s input on this vital planning document, which has the potential to shape the Town’s future.”
The plan may be viewed online at www.innisfail.ca/strategicplan, or in person at the Town Administration Office, Innisfail Library, Innisfail Seniors Centre, and the Innisfail and District Chamber of Commerce.
Feedback may be submitted online at www.innisfail.ca/strategicplan, in person at the Town Office, or by calling 403-227-3376.
