VIA THE INNISFAIL PROVINCE, May 5, 2015: Town council has jumped on board with a long-held vision of the Rotary Club of Innisfail with its formal approval of a concept plan to upgrade the trail system around the west side of Napoleon Lake.
Prior to town council’s April 13 approval to move forward with the $92,000 project, with two-thirds of its cost being picked up by Rotary, it went through a process that included the development of concept drawings, the creation of a preliminary project budget, reviews by Rotary and the town’s Operational Services Committee, and more recently, public scrutiny at a March 12 open house.

If council ultimately approves the bylaw, the closure will allow the town to transfer that part of the service road to Four Lane Ford, which owns the north adjacent property.
