VIA THE INNISFAIL PROVINCE, Nov. 3, 2015: The NDP provincial government’s first budget will mean Innisfail will get a small increase in MSI and preventive social service funding.

It may not be much but Mayor Brian Spiller is nevertheless pleased.

VIA THE INNISFAIL PROVINCE, Nov. 3, 2015: Innisfail’s two primary recreational facilities have been given a “fair” bill of health.

A life cycle assessment was completed by Williams Engineering Canada in September on the more than 25-year-old Innisfail Twin Arena and Innisfail Aquatic Centre and both were found to be in “fair condition”, said a report brought to town council at its Oct. 26 regular meeting.

VIA THE INNISFAIL PROVINCE, Nov. 3, 2015: The cost to have a new modern town hall for the comfort of both staff and citizens has just jumped a lot higher.

That is between $325,000 and $360,000 higher. Town council was told at its Oct. 26 regular meeting the administration building roof has started leaking and it needs to be replaced.
