Do you have an interest in planning and development and how your community will look in the future? If so, you might consider joining the Town Innisfail's Municipal Planning Commission (MPC). Consisting of three members of Town Council, and two members of the community, MPC considers all development permit applications for discretionary uses and any other development applications referred to it by the Development Officer.  The MPC meets as required, typically on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of month.

If so, you might consider joining the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) which consists of one member of Town Council, and at least four members of the community. The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) hears appeals of the Town of Innisfail’s subdivision and development authorities. The SDAB meets as required.

The last day for Yard Waste Pickup will be on October 26, 2015.

Beginning in April or May and continuing until October each year, yard waste for the entire town is picked up every Monday, at regular household garbage pickup locations (curbside or back alley).

Accepted:

  • Grass clippings, bedding plants, weeds, and leaves
  • Tree branches and shrub trimmings are acceptable when bundled in 4' lengths or less. These bundles must be tied.


Yard waste must be placed in biodegradable bags or in re-usable containers clearly marked "Yard Waste" by 7:00 am on Mondays. No plastic bags will be accepted. Yard waste containers must not exceed 50lbs (23 kg). Overweight containers will not be accepted.

Tree branches and other yard waste can also be dropped off at the Waste Transfer Station during regular operating hours. Regular Transfer Station fees apply.
