Innisfail’s new automated household solid waste program begins in June, 2019.

For residents who find that one cart of each type (one black cart, one green cart) is not sufficient for the amount of household waste their residence produces, extra carts will be available.

For the monthly utility rate of $23, one cart of each type will be provided to each location that has household waste pickup. The Town encourages residents to use the provided carts for a few weeks before determining if extra carts are required.

Residents can request additional carts for an extra $15 monthly charge for each extra cart. There is no “purchase” price for additional carts; only the additional monthly rate will apply.

As an example, if a household requires two solid waste (black) carts and one organics (green) cart, the monthly rate would be $23 plus $15 for one additional cart, for a total of $38 per month.
