The following are highlights from the September 9, 2019 regular meeting of council.
Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
Administration presented an Advertising and Sponsorship Policy to bolster public funding of municipal facilities, amenities, and services. The policy will provide a framework for the naming of Town assets such as public commons, buildings and structures, and other Town-owned facilities. Council approved the policy as presented.
Presentation by Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers
Delegate Chris Montgomery of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) presented an update on the current state of the oil & gas industry. Highlights of this presentation included capital spending on oil & gas projects, progress on pipelines, and natural gas price forecasts. No action was required by Town Council.
2019 Pro-Am Golf Tournament Sponsorship
In response to a request from the Innisfail Golf Association, Town Council approved the sponsorship of the 2019 Innisfail Pro-Am Golf Tournament in the amount of $250.
