Starting November 1, 2019, household organic waste collection (your green cart) will switch to a biweekly schedule.
The final regular weekly collection of organic waste will occur between October 28-30. Your waste collection day will not change.
Your organics cart will NOT be emptied from November 4-6, but collection will occur again from November 11-13, and every second week following those dates.
After November 1, organic waste collection will occur only on the following dates:
Nov. 11-13
Nov. 25-27
Dec. 9-11
Dec. 23 & 24 (due to Christmas Day, waste pickup scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 25 will be moved to Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019).
Weekly collection of organic waste will begin again in the spring next year.
Excess organic waste can be taken to the Town’s Waste Transfer Station at no charge to residents. Transfer station operating hours are Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
