Businesses in the region are working hard to adapt to changes in the economy and chart a
new path forward during these unprecedented times. While change creates challenges, it
also creates new opportunities for businesses to grow and expand. The Chamber and
Town are reaching out to local businesses to ensure they have the services they need to
survive, thrive and re-emerge from the pandemic, stronger than ever.
The Town and Chamber are partnering on a business survey to gather insight into
challenges businesses are facing to identify opportunities to support them.
“The community highly values our local businesses, so we are reaching out to hear how
they are doing and learn what we can do to help” says Patricia Borne, local business leader
and Chair of the Innisfail Community Economic Development Advisory Committee.
To kick off the survey, volunteers will be leading a survey blitz during small business week,
October 19-23, including business visitations, emails and phone calls. Blitz volunteers will
be trained, paired up and sent door-to-door while taking all necessary health precautions.
The survey is the first part of an exciting Business Retention and Expansion Program
focused on delivering timely and relevant services to businesses.
“The Chamber is excited to partner with the Town on this important initiative to support
the business community” says Chamber President Tyrel Robinson. “Together, with the help
of local partners, we can support the people that make this community a great place to live,
work and play”.
