The following are highlights from the July 12, 2021 Regular Meeting of Council.
Council Disclosure Bylaw
In March of 2021, Council directed administration to draft a Council Disclosure Bylaw based on a recommendation from consultants SAGE Analytics. The bylaw requires those sitting on council to disclose information of a pecuniary nature that may interfere with their council responsibilities. On July 12, Council reviewed and approved the proposed bylaw with minor changes.
2021 Citizens Perspective Survey
Town administration presented a proposal to engage the services of consulting firm Ipsos to undertake a survey gauging public opinion on a variety of topics. Council approved the project with a budget of $22,000 to be funded from the the 2021 Contingency.
