Innisfail Handivan, Regional Bus Service, & Taxi Service
Innisfail has a community handivan that provides local service for people with limited mobility and seniors in the Innisfail area. The van operates as follows:
Mon - Tues…..8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cost: Service is by appointment only and cost/fees vary. Booking 24-hours in advance is preferred.

2A SOUTH REGIONAL TRANSIT
The 2A Regional Transit bus connects residents in Innisfail, Penhold, and Springbrook to the City of Red Deer. The bus connects with Red Deer Transit at the Bower Mall bus stop. This means residents can connect with multiple Red Deer Transit routes using one main connection.

Seniors Resource Assistance
The Town of Innisfail has partnered with the following government programs to help provide various support services necessary for our residents. These programs can help with social, government and/or health services that are difficult to find in smaller communities.
Alberta 211 is an online resource directory available for all citizens of Innisfail. Visit their website for information regarding financial & social assistance, housing & utility help, food assistance & meal programs, various parenting & family programs, government program assistance and much much more.
Phone: Please note that as of October 31, 2017 the 211 phone service will be unavailable for the Innisfail area.
Alberta Supports provides information for seniors, children, youth and adults on social based programs and services provided by the Government of Alberta.
Seniors Financial Assistance and Benefits Lifeline
The Alberta Seniors Benefit (ASB) program provides a monthly income supplement to federal income sources including Old Age Security (OAS) and Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS).
In general, for July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018, a single senior with an annual income of $27,300 or less, and senior couples with a combined annual income of $44,335 or less, are eligible for a cash benefit. These income levels are guidelines only, and are for seniors whose income includes a full OAS pension.
