In light of ongoing developments around the COVID-19 virus, and in alignment with the advice of public health officials, Town facilities have limited access.
Dodd’s Lake offers an array of amenities which allow users to enjoy a unique experience within the Town of Innisfail boundaries. This body of water hosts a variety of wildlife and can be accessed for limited recreational use.
Dodds Lake Area Community Recreation Plan - May 2021
The Dodd’s Lake Area Community Recreation Plan has been finalized and is available for review.
The intent of the Dodd’s Lake Area Community Recreation Plan is to provide an overall plan for the area surrounding Dodd’s Lake by identifying a long-term vision for the Lake, proposing appropriate land-based recreational amenities and water-based uses, and describing applicable direction for the proposed uses. This plan focuses on the environmental, social, and engineered function of the Lake as well as its role in providing recreational space within the community.
Public Engagement - Jan. 1-25, 2021
In the fall of 2020. the Town of Innisfail worked with Stantec Consulting to prepare the Dodd’s Lake Area Community Recreation Plan.
Over the summer of 2020, efforts were made to engage the community to establish a vision around the types of uses and amenities that could be permitted, facilitated and/or encouraged on site.
All of the feedback gathered was incorporated into a draft design, and members of the community were invited to provide input on what’s been put together so far.
Feedback was accepted between Friday, Jan. 1 and Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.
