The Innisfail Senior Drop-In is partially funded through the FCSS Grant Program and is open to anyone who is 50 years of age or over. Members’ spouses that are not 50 are also welcome to join. The Drop-In provides and facilitates programs, activities, friendship, social development, and healthy well-being to seniors within and around our community.
FCSS Community Newsletter
The Town of Innisfail produces a monthly newsletter with information and resources. Printed copies are available at locations throughout town, including the Town Office. If you would like to receive and electronic copy of the newsletter, email fcss@innisfail.ca.

Community Housing Program

PACE Bus, Regional Bus Service, & Taxi Service
PACE Bus
Innisfail has a community bus that provides local service for people with limited mobility and seniors in the Innisfail area. The PACE Bus operates as follows:
Mon – Thurs…..8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Fri………8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sat – Sun………9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Red Deer once a month | Second Wednesday
Cost: Service is by appointment only and cost/fees vary. Booking 24-hours in advance is preferred.

The Town of Innisfail has partnered with the following government programs to help provide various support services necessary for our residents. These programs can help with social, government and/or health services that are difficult to find in smaller communities.
Alberta 211
Alberta 211 is an online resource directory available for all citizens of Innisfail. Visit their website for information regarding financial & social assistance, housing & utility help, food assistance & meal programs, various parenting & family programs, government program assistance and much much more.

Seniors Financial Assistance and Benefits Lifeline
The Alberta Seniors Benefit (ASB) program provides a monthly income supplement to federal income sources including Old Age Security (OAS) and Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS).
In general, for July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018, a single senior with an annual income of $27,300 or less, and senior couples with a combined annual income of $44,335 or less, are eligible for a cash benefit. These income levels are guidelines only, and are for seniors whose income includes a full OAS pension.
