The Innisfail Aquatic Centre staff have launched a new virtual challenge. This next challenge covers a distance of 382.3 km. Participants will start at the beautiful beach of Playa Nixche and travel across the Nuevo Puente de la Unidad, a beautiful cable-style bridge that crosses the Santa Catarina River and connects the cities of Monterrey and San Pedro Garza Garcia in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. This will lead participants to their next scenic stop, the Reserva de la Biosfera Pantanus de Ceentla — a tropical wetland and forest reserve. The final destination will bring participants to the Templo Mayor ruins for some stunning views.
What is a virtual mission? Our missions are virtual fitness challenges that allow you to compete against yourself while completing a goal distance. The distance can be completed by swimming, running, biking, or by many other physical activities. You can record your progress on the free “My Mission” app, which is compatible with most fitness trackers and electronic devices. When you complete the challenge you will receive a Fitness Monster-themed prize.
Deadline to register is Monday, December 13, 2021, and your registration fee provides extra access to the pool to help you accumulate your required distance.
