This new Town program encourages residents to participate in pandemic-friendly recreational activities while supporting local businesses: Innisfail Warm Up! challenges you to get out and treat yourself.

Simply grab a beverage from one of the participating businesses, then complete one of the Innisfail Warm Up! challenges. Each day of the program will feature a special hot drink from each of the participating businesses.

Here's how to participate in Innisfail Warm Up!

Step 1 - Check out each partner location on the day that they are hosting the Innisfail Warm Up!

- Wednesday, November 18 - The Coffee Cottage, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

     Special: Gingerbread Latte
- Thursday, November 19 - Field & Forge Brewing Co., 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

     Special: TBD
- Friday, November 20 - Dark Woods Coffee Roasting,  7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

     Special: Latte
- Saturday, November 21 - Collective House, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

     Special: Chai Latte

Step 2 - Purchase a hot drink – especially the one of the specials that each location is featuring. Each location will be offering a specialty hot drink specifically for the Innisfail Warm-Up!

Step 3 - Choose one of the Innisfail Warm Up! activities to participate in:

- Take time for someone (in your cohort) to hear how they are doing!
There are so many ways that people are under pressure these days; take an opportunity to hear how someone is doing and connect. You can also take the opportunity to tell someone how you are doing. Looking out for others and practicing self-care is so important, and never more than now.

- Go for a walk!

Walk by yourself or with someone in your cohort (or appropriately physically distanced if not in your cohort). Grab your drink to go and check out one of Innisfail’s great parks, the extensive trails system or admire some of the great holiday displays that our creative community is putting up.

- Take a moment in nature!

There are so many great natural areas in Innisfail that unfold in front of you when you let them. Check out one of the viewing platforms at Napoleon Lake, a perfect spot for bird-watching. Take a 'forest bath' at your favorite bench and let nature 'wash over you'.  Find your perfect place to ground yourself in nature.

- Explore Innisfail!

Take a stroll down 50 Street and enjoy the great local shops and services. Collective House is the perfect jumping off spot as you support local businesses. Enjoy your drink on-the-go while checking out both old and new favourite spots. Maybe you will find that perfect gift for someone on your list.

- Treat yourself!

A latte always tastes better with something sweet. May we suggest a famous cinnamon bun from The Coffee Cottage, a piece of bliss cheesecake from Dark Woods or a raspberry brownie from Field & Forge. There are some amazing options available. You absolutely deserve it and it tastes that much better knowing you are supporting a local business.

Step 4 - While you are doing one of these activities, snap a photo to share that you are taking part in the Innisfail Warm Up! Share it one either Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and include the hashtag #innisfailwarmup when you create the post. You will be entered into a draw for a gift-basket filled with terrific Innisfail items.
