To support local small businesses while provincial COVID-19 restrictions are in place, the Town has announced a new pilot project that will allow private companies and individuals to reserve and use public park space for commercial activities.
Business or commercial use is currently not permitted under the Town’s Parks Bylaw; the new program temporarily waives that provision.
The project is intended to provide space to those businesses that cannot currently operate due to provincial restrictions on indoor activities. Businesses will be able to run outdoor activities in Town parks provided they adhere to all current provincial health restrictions and guidelines.
Businesses will have the ability to reserve space through an application process and no application fee is planned at this time.
