During the Spring/Summer of 2019, the Town of Innisfail will be undertaking a complete rebuild of 45th Avenue between 50th Street and 46th Street. This includes the excavation and replacement of deep utilities, new storm sewer installation, new curb & sidewalk, and new pavement throughout.
The work for this project is anticipated to take 12 weeks, starting in June and concluding in August. Interruptions to water service are expected to happen no more than 3 times during construction with maximum interruptions lasting no more than 8 hours. Road closures are expected through the duration of construction restricting access to 45th Avenue. Access to 48th Street, 44th Avenue Close, and 46A Street Crescent will be maintained but will be interrupted from time-to-time during construction. Detours will be posted during construction directing traffic to available accesses.
The Town of Innisfail will be hosting an Open House from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on April 17th at the Innisfail Town Office (4943 53rd Street, Innisfail). At this time, representatives from the Town, AL-Terra Engineering, and the contractor performing the work will be present to provide more specific details on the scheduled construction and road closures. A brief project overview will be presented at 6:15 p.m.
