The Town continues to explore options for an updated recreation facility. At the February 28 Regular Meeting of Town Council, Administration recommended moving to the validation (schematic) phase of the project by proceeding with the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) process.
This process allows Town staff to collaborate with architects and contractors from the outset of the project. The result is a much smoother workflow through all stages of development and execution.
At the February 28 meeting, Council also approved increasing the IPD project budget to $600,000 which will be funded from the Town’s Facility Reserve.
The Town will now work on developing proposals to establish the IPD team through a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) procedure.
