Trail Systems
Our system of paved and natural trails links the entire town with a 20 km trail network, which provides recreational trails for walking, jogging, bicycling, in-line skating, and cross country skiing.
The Napoleon Lake Trail is an unpaved trail that runs 1.6km from entrance to exit (around the lake). From the exit, if you travel around the park and back to the entrance, the full distance is 2.5 km.

Dodds Lake – Supports active use, such as swimming and water skiing
Napoleon Lake – Passive use only, to protect the natural elements
Mud/Hazelwood Lake – No public access. Primarily enjoyed passively by visitors to the golf course and ski hill.

Centennial Park
Centennial Park is Innisfail’s largest park and consists of both natural and groomed areas. Washrooms are open to the public from May to September (weather dependant), 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Located at the corner of 60 Avenue and 50 Street.

Off Leash Dog Park
Off leash dog parks provide a community setting in which people can gather and socialize while spending quality time with their own pet, at the same time observing the interaction of groups of dogs at play.
In 2011, the Town of Innisfail opened up an Off Leash Dog Park as a result of its Envision Innisfail initiative, and subsequent public workshops.
Located on the North East portion of Centennial Park, west of the cemetery.
Features:
- a fully fenced, spacious area for pups and people to interact safely
- a combination of natural and groomed areas
- complementary plastic bags for dog waste disposal
- natural shrubs and trees, providing shaded areas
- a thoughtfully organized staging area to introduce your dog to the park
Basic Dog Park Etiquette
Be Sure Your Dogs:
- Have up-to-date licenses and vaccinations.
- Don’t chase the wildlife.
- Interact well with dogs of all size, and people they don’t know.
- Will come immediately when called.
- Are not in heat.
- Are not aggressive or menacing to other park attendees.
Owners Please:
- Keep dog on leash at all times outside boundaries of park.
- Have a leash in your possession at all times.
- Keep your dog in sight and under your control at all times.
- Clean up after your dog and fill any holes your dog may dig.
- Leash and remove your dog immediately at the first sign of aggression toward other dogs and or humans.
- Use park at own & pets risk.
Be a Good Steward of our Off Leash Park, and do your part. Always, leave your space better than you found it! This park is for both our pets and our fellow residents. Together we will ensure a beautiful and safe place to visit with our dogs!
*Dog Control Bylaw #1537-2012 is applicable to all park usage.

Anthony Henday Campground
The Anthony Henday Campground is operated by The Innisfail Lions Club. It has 40 sites available.
Corner of 56 Street and Lakewood Drive (formerly Highway 54), Open May 1 to October 15, weather permitting
The Anthony Henday Campground offers:
- Serviced sites with 15 amp electricity
- Sites suitable for tents or trailers
- Washroom facilities with commercial grade showers
- Playground area
- Potable water
- Firewood for sale
- Reservations accepted
- Open starting May long weekend with closure in September, sewage disposal sites are available nearby for a fee. Located by the Tourist Booth (5202 50 St.), token’s for the RV sanitary dumping stations are available for purchase ($5 ea.) at the Tourist Booth, Town Office, and the campground. Credit cards are also accepted at the station kiosk.
