The Town of Innisfail is in the process of updating its municipal development plan!
A municipal development plan (MDP) is a ‘road map’ that helps determine the desired long-term direction for a community. It is a policy document that can be used as a guide within public and private sector decision-making. The Town’s current MDP was created in 1998 and consolidated in 2007.
Innisfail has changed over the years since this MDP was implemented and will continue to change over the next 30 years. The new MDP is being created to be dynamic and responsive to the ever-changing environment that faces this community. It is about implementing a new long-range vision for Innisfail and planning for the community’s future growth and development.
