With the intent of ensuring the quality provision of community services, the Town of Innisfail has successfully filled the previously vacant position of Community Services Director.
Meghan Jenkins — previously the Town’s Manager of Planning & Sustainability — assumed the role on Monday, Nov. 16.
“The move leverages Meghan’s demonstrated skills and leadership, and aligns with the Town’s commitment to ensuring organizational effectiveness and efficiency both in light of pandemic-related realities and otherwise,” said Chief Administrative Officer Todd Becker. “Meghan’s ability to lead while taking on tasks of immense importance will be a tremendous complement to the role, and make her an exceptional addition to the Town’s Senior Leadership Team.”
Jenkins’ role will see her provide supervisory oversight for a number of Town functions, including Planning & Development, Recreation, Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) and Sustainability. Having worked full-time for the Town since September 2019, Jenkins has undertaken work for the municipality on a contract basis intermittently since 2012.
