On September 14, 2026, a digital security breach occurred at the Town of Innisfail. The breach was recognized quickly, and actions were taken to limit access to Town records and files.
These “threat actors” were able to obtain email addresses and may have, in turn, sent emails that appeared to come from a Town of Innisfail employee. If you receive an email from a Town of Innisfail employee, do not open it or provide any personal information. Please contact the Town Office at 403-227-3376 to confirm the email originates from a credible source.
The Town has taken further action to ensure data is now secure.
If you suspect that you may have been compromised by one of these emails, contact your I.T. support person immediately. You may also consider changing any account passwords that may have been accessed.
